Conference Theme

As important and powerful geophysical tools, electromagnetic methods have been extensively used from tectonic studies to resource explorations, environmental and engineering investigations, as well as increasingly extending their applications to ocean, airborne, and other emerging fields.

The 13rd China International Geo-Electromagnetic Workshop (CIGEW2017) organized by the geo-electromagnetic committee of the Chinese Geophysical Society will be held on the 10 - 12 November 2017 in Wuhan (the capital of Hubei Province), China. As a biennial event, the workshop will provide a platform for presenting the current state-of-art of geo-electromagnetic techniques both in theory and applications, aiming to promote new developments and innovations for sustainable social and economic development. All new and experienced practitioners including researchers, young scientists and students around the world are welcome to share their research and applications in the field of electromagnetic geophysics. The detailed timetable will be scheduled in the second announcement.

Principles of the Workshop

The workshop will highlight the latest research advancement and practical applications of electromagnetic methods. There will be several seminars for exchanging new ideas, new methods and new insights.

There will be special reports, oral presentations, poster presentations and seminars. We will make a program including oral presentations and poster presentations based on the amout of the abstracts and meeting time. Oral presentations and poster presentations share the same academic level.(The time and place for presentations will be announced in the booklet of the workshop. Authors are suggested to register before the deadline (the specific date will be given in the second notice) to ensure an abstract is put in the program. Those who registered after the deadline will be arranged according to the specific situation.
